RIGHT

 

The function RIGHT returns the count rightmost characters / bytes in an expression.

SQL Syntax:
 
   RIGHT( expression, count )
Parameters:
 
  expression

Any data type of expressions. If it isn't a binary type then it will convert first to a string data type.

count

The count of characters / bytes that should be return.
Escape Syntax:
 
  {fn RIGHT( expression, count ) }
Return Type:
 
  A string or binary data type depending the data type of the expression.

Examples:

  • SELECT RIGHT( 'Peter', 2 )
